Che Ecru is an American singer, songwriter, and producer from Boston who has carved out a unique space in contemporary R&B. Known for his haunting melodies, atmospheric production, and raw, introspective lyricism, he has built a dedicated underground following while securing high-profile industry credits.

After leaving college in 2015 to pursue music full-time, he built early momentum online with tracks like "2 AM". He released his debut studio album, Buries, in 2017.

His 2018 single "Before I Die" was famously sampled in Chris Brown and Drake's multi-platinum hit "No Guidance". He also contributed production to Baby Keem's The Melodic Blue ("pink panties", "lost souls") and Bryson Tiller's self-titled album ("CALYPSO").

He remains highly prolific, recently dropping his latest album Ecru Without U (September 2026), following up on his 2026 EP Summer Vol. 67 and his 2025 project Love Life.
